The History of Rosevine City: An Overview

When the settlers first started moving West, some landed on the spot now known as Rosevine City. The first people to settle there were Elias Vine, whose statue is now erected in the city’s town square and whose descendants are still major powers in the city, and his family. Many settlers ended up building their homesteads in the area because of how beautiful and suitable the area was. The nearby lake made water easily accessible and the wild roses that grew there, which have long since stopped growing in the area, made the area all the more appealing. The area soon became a major trading stop. People enjoyed the friendly locals and often decided to travel the extra miles to do their trading “where the roses grow.” As the population quickly grew large enough to become a city and needed a government to keep order, a council was put together and Elias Vine was named the first mayor of the newly named Rosevine City.

Rosevine City stayed a popular and growing city until the early 1990’s. It started its decline the same time as the sudden surfacing of powered people in the country, however, no evidence has been found that links the two incidents. Many people in Rosevine City now live in fear, whether of the amount of crime that has recently appeared or the financial situation of themselves and the city.
